  1. Two of my favorites are Push by Sapphire (made into the movie Precious) and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Both deal with very difficult subjects (ex. rape, incest, the Holocaust) but the language in each is so beautiful and so poetic that in some ways they both restored my faith in the human race.

    Would love to hear your suggestions.
